that was caused by leaving a a dump truck, with no lights on or flares to warn of, on a SE/SW Freeway at night ???
The dump truck was placed there to potentially thwart some type of extremely unlikely shut down of the city attempt by some truckers. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/2-dead-1-hurt-in-fiery-crash-on-i-695-in-dc/2994262/ |
| People are dead and you are thinking about money. |
| Huh? So the speeding BMW driver who lost control isn't to blame for hitting a parked truck that was pulled over? |
|
?
Was the dump truck in the middle of the road?if it was parked on the side it is no different than cars that break down sometimes. |
|
The family are victims.
THat is the only lens through which to view this. |
It was parked in the exit... in the triangular area in front of where they usually have yellow or orange reflective plastic containers full of sand to protect drivers. |
No, thinking of how DC was negligent in placing the truck there in front of the barriers made to keep drivers safe. |
The truck was placed in front of the protective barriers that keep drivers safe. |
| At 6:45, it was barely dark. And that area is well-lit. The fault lies entirely with the now-deceased BMW driver. RIP |
It was on a shoulder. If it hadn't been there, the out-of-control driver may have struck the orange barrels and still careened into another car. Who knows? How can the truck be at fault when the speeding BMW lost control and hit it? |
I don't think the dump truck was on the shoulder... it was in the "fork" where the exit splits off from the freeway. |
So not the actual road. |
It wasn't in a lane. What else is the asphalt called that is not a lane? |
In the zebra striped area? Sounds like the BMW driver lost control and killed themself plus their passenger due to their negligence. How horrible. |
