Lake Braddock HS Student Insta Coverage

I was saddened to see that a student at Lake Braddock HS started a cruel Instagram page against LGBTQIA+ students, and am glad the school spoke out against it. It was labeled as bullying.

However, when I saw the coverage on the local morning news, Good Day DC on Fox 5, the "hard hitting" take on the story was an interview with a person who lives near the school, whose ground-breaking take was "bullying is wrong" although she believes.....and then she went on to talk about what people say when they invalidate trans folks.

I am a cis parent or straight teenagers, but if this kind of crap is what the kids are dealing with I am sorry.

Sending some love and support this morning, and working a letter to the station.

Thank you FCPS for addressing this student's hate crime.

DP here - It was a terrible page that posted photos of kids who were LGBTQIA+ students and they were ridiculed.


The student responsible was identified and will be punished, according to the school.
