Waitlisted everywhere... A chance for next year?

Anyone ever get accepted after being waitlisted? Not holding out hope for movement, especially since we need FA. Wondering if I should reach out for feedback and try again next year.

My DC got into a school this year after being rejected (not even waitlisted) by it last year.

Yes OP apply next year. And some waitlists do move but may or may not have FA available.

It happened to a friend of DC's. Rejected/waitlisted twice I think by the same school a sibling attends. Then finally accepted.

My kid got waitlisted at our first choice school and then accepted when we re-applied. It was an entry year our second time around, but a pretty small group of kids. I think at least half the group had been waitlisted the first time around.

Is this a successful strategy? Reaching out to admissions departments and asking what you could have done differently to have been accepted?

Use this energy to figure out your plan B! All this activity now really shows them you are a pain

This. It also has to do with balancing out the class and you got waitlisted because they already have a similar boy and wanted an outgoing girl. Definitely, apply again.
