| I had my 8 week US with my OB this morning and they referred me to Sibley MFM for a possible cornual ectopic pregnancy based on where the baby appears to have implanted. It sounds like a cornual ectopic is rare and unlikely but my OB wanted to be on the safe side and get a second sono/opinion. Anyone have a similar experience? or have experience with an angular pregnancy which sounds similar (but not ectopic)? |

I went through this same thing last year. Baby implanted in a super weird place (right at the opening of my right tube) and they were worried about it being a cornual ectopic. My first ultrasound was at 6+3 and they had me follow up 7 days later where they confirmed it wasn’t ectopic but had implanted right at the end of my tube but inside the uterus. Unfortunately baby had stopped growing and I was only measuring 7 weeks and fetal pole no longer had a heart beat.
My RE told me at my first ultrasound that it could really go either way with it being a healthy pregnancy or not. She said the only way I could have continued the pregnancy was if the sac grew down and not upwards into the tube. |
