| Title says it all. I am looking for a fancy, fun higher end coffee maker. Either one that grinds whole beans or uses ground coffee. No pods. I prefer something sleek in stainless steel or a matte gray. Any brands or models you like and would suggest? Budget is $300. (We already have a nice DeLonghi espresso maker so looking for something that complements that for drip coffee). |
| I don’t think it matters for drip coffee. A grinder and a pour over. |

We have been happy with this one for many years: https://www.breville.com/us/en/products/coffee/bdc650.html?sku=BDC650BSSUSC

Love our moccamaster and it seems to be very popular right now.

Breville Grind and Brew.
If you want to get fancier (and deal with a separate grinder) then the Technivorm Moccamaster makes the best coffee. I did the TM for years, but got sick of separately grinding beans, so switched to Breville for now. The coffee is good (not as good as TM) but I don't have to deal with grinding separately. |
PP here. Sorry it's called Breville Grind Control. One note - you have to stay on top of cleaning this machine regularly (at least monthly) or the grinds get clogged (almost like cement). Learned the hard way and had to take the thing apart and scrape off the coffee residue with a knife. |
| Technivorm Moccamaster. |
We run a vinegar cycle through ours once a month. |
| We really like our Jura. Have had one for 15 years. |
Yes - basically makes pour over coffee |
| Technivorm with thermal carafe. |
| Thanks from the OP!! |
