Something happened at school. They kept the kids inside for another 30-40 mins after the dismissal. Not sure what though. There were ambulance and firetruck there arriving at pickup time.

OP here - I'm minding my own business now, but at the time, communication was such that I didn't know whether my kid was impacted. All they said was that dismissal would be delayed due to an unforeseen emergency. That vagueness made me worry.
