Fun house for that grand millennial English country vibe

I kind of love it. It definitely says “yes, I am the 15th Earl of blahbidyblah but only until my father dies and I become the Duke. Also did you know that we are young and fun? We are. Young and fun, I mean. Please note our side table from IKEA.”

I love almost everything about this house, particularly the 19th century wallpaper in the dining room. And I also want a bathroom with a fireplace.

I am obsessed with the wall color in the living room. Excuse me while I go convince my husband to let me paint something…

I know, right? With mismatched chairs! So irreverent. So young and fun. *grits teeth* YOUNG AND FUN I SAY

That blue depresses me. It's like a depression era kitchen with dark grease.

This is close to being my dream house. Sigh.

When did you know you cared for me?

I think it was when I caught my first sight of Pemberley.

What's with the cheap Ikea/ Target end table in the living room? That's a big miss!

Love your fictional quote - my uncle could have said those words. He was also fun and not wealthy, since all the money was plowed back into the estate: one day he went to a costume party dressed as a homeless guy, because those were the clothes he used to muck out the horses. Our family castle is a lot less design and a lot more stag-antler-heavy.

This is my happy place. Alas, my ceilings are not high enough to pull off richly painted color on trim. I love it.

It’s there because they are not just the largest landowner in Scotland, they are also young and fun!

I don’t think anything that large qualifies as “grand millennial.” That’s just an expensive (and cheesy) house.

I digress...

It is incredibly tasteful and restrained while still being comfortable and fun for a family and their friends. I like how approachable the house is.

The family has a staggering art collection. And several staggeringly huge houses.

Love the dining room wallpaper. And the wallpaper border in one of the kids' bedrooms.
