Worth returning or exchanging?

Just came back from the local grocery store and cut a cookie in half and wondered why it was rock hard so I looked at the label. It says packed 2/7, sell by 2/28. Is this worth going back and returning? I don’t tend to return things and I don’t buy baked goods a lot, but this seems really old.
