Premieres tonight at 8am! I had no idea a new Top Chef was starting and am glad that I happened upon it.

Rats. I missed it. I'll be on the lookout now. Any idea what channel?

I loved TS LA, but didn't really enjoy Portland. I think Houston should be fun!

I missed the premier b/c I was out of town - but Houston?! So excited. I will be watching. Houston is such a great food/restaurant and different from where they've been before - much more gritty. Should be interesting. I hope they have a Rodeo episode.

How do you think the contestant who can't taste will do?

Is there anyway to watch Bravo without cable? I binged Portland over the last two weeks. I really enjoyed the season.

Wasn't that surprising? He seems like an amazing cook. I wonder how long he will survive getting others to taste his food. You can't go far if you can't taste.

It was funny that the team that won didn't express any joy when they won. None of them believed they were worthy given the pedigree of the other contestants.

This season has the most highly qualified contestants ever except for the girl from ND. What is she doing there? Unless she has some hidden tricks up her sleeve, she has no place being on the show if all she knows is meat and potatoes. Someone else deserved that spot. There is no joy watching someone flounder and is uncomfortable with Asian flavors.

This is what I hate about the show. People with less talent can hang on for weeks because of team challenges or someone screwing with their oven.

But sometimes they end up doing okay. Very, very talented group this time.

I think it was smart that that guy didn't tell anyone he can't taste - but at some point that will not work - because Tom is all about the salt (too much, too little, etc.)

I kept wondering why he didn’t ask to bow out of this season and try again next time. He is clearly an amazing chef and got lucky with a team challange, but I agree, he can’t last that long without taste. Wouldn’t it be better to wait?
