A friend is recently pregnant (or at least recently showing). We were at dinner with a group of friends and when the pregnant woman got up from the table, one of the women made a "hot mama" comment. It became clear that the (married and platonic) men around the table all agreed. This woman is generally pretty but not a supermodel. We ended up having a discussion about whether it was the physical or biological changes that bring on this new found admiration.
I am not talking about 9 month waddlers on their way to giving birth. But in general is there a time between 4-8 months where pregnant women naturally attract more attention from men? Or is it simply a personal connection to this woman that makes these group of men agree that she is striking while carrying a baby (not her first). |
| No, not at all. Not to this man. |

I think most people believe women should have flat or concave stomachs which is insane and not even healthy.
When a generally pretty woman is pregnant there’s no expectation for her stomach to be flat and so I think many people think she looks pretty because they’re not judging her stomach or her hips actually. As I think many men are in awe of the fact that women can carry a baby. Of course there’s just the ridiculous self-centered narcissistic man that won’t feel this way. |
| If she is my wife, absolutely. Otherwise, no way. Not at all. |
| With my child yes, random pregnant women, absolutely not |
They were not agreeing she was striking while carrying a baby, they were being polite. |
| I have never been hit on more by strangers than when I was visibly pregnant. |
| I think a very small sub-set of men fetishize pregnant women. Most men think their wives look beautiful when carrying their child. I don’t think many men find random pregnant women attractive. |
|
Why would any woman care if other men find them attractive? I find it sad that so many women get their self worth from men. |
| Some guys have a pregnant fetish. It’s a thing. |

No DH is somewhat repulsed by pregnant women. He loves me, loves our children, but wasn't interested in me while pregnant. He'd never own up to it (he's not a rude ahole), but he didn't want to have sex with me and generally didn't like my body. I thought I was a cute pregnant woman too.
I think most men don't find pregnant women more attractive than non pregnant women. Frankly it's a little weird the men who like women looking motherly and pregnant. It's a weird fetish. I think men should find their own pregnant wife attractive though. |
| Not mine. TMI but H was on top when I was very heavily pregnant with DC1 and the fetus kicked him in the stomach. H refused to have sex with me the entire time when I was pregnant with DC2. |
| They were being polite. DH recently informed me he doesn’t have a fetish and realized that when I really started showing. He thinks I’m beautiful but doesn’t really get turned on with my big belly. We are still intimate but pregnancy isn’t really a turn on for most men. |

Yes, but only AFTER my wife's first pregnancy. There is something about your wife's pregnancy that causes you to look at other pregnant women differently.
