Travel quarantine???

Is OSSE ever going to change the travel quarantine guidelines? It is bananas that people can enter indoor establishments without masks, regardless of vaccination status, but my 3 year old can’t drive to Pennsylvania or Delaware for a day trip without quarantining!

What are you talking about??

It's technically recommended not required. It would be nice if they would drop it entirely as it's not actually protective (you can do whatever you want in the DMV), and it seems like some daycares are seeing that language and trying to stick with it.

This + toddler masking requirements were dealbreakers for me when I was daycare searching. Managed to find one with neither. The protocols for sick kids are still pretty strict but no travel quarantine, no masks under 5. (I have the luxury of living in VA though)

They already dropped it since it’s only recommended. It’s confusing .

Are there any dc daycares or preschools that aren’t reading “recommended” as “required” on this? I know ours isn’t.

I meant ours is…ie they are requiring the quarantine and saying it is following OSSE guidelines.

Ours too. It's required. They put it into place ahead of holiday travel and then never took it away.
