| I can do a hash brown casserole in a slow cooker but I'm wondering if anyone has anything better than that. Thanks! |

there is a really really good spinach and cheese strata on epicurious that gets raves when I make it. It would work for a breakfast (Im guessing it os bfast since you mentioned hash browns) since you assemble it the night before (the egg needs to soak the bread for 6-12 hours or something) so you can just bake it in the a.m., cool, cut it into pieces and serve out of the pyrex.

| OP here. Sorry I forgot to mention it was for breakfast. Thanks for the suggestion. It looks good! |

this recipe looks like the one I make for big family gatherings:
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/christmas-breakfast-sausage-casserole/detail.aspx The version I use doesn't cube the bread. Instead, put the bread in the casserole, top with the sausage and cheese, then pour in the egg mixture. Rich and very tasty. Although it says that it serves 8, I think it serves more like 12. Especially if served with rolls and fruit. |
