| If we eat it all, it will be a great deal. Hopefully, my kid doesn't decide today that she will never eat couscous again. What are you buying to stock up and/or save money. |
| Why would you do that? |
| Are you from a culture that eats couscous as a staple or do you just really like couscous? I still have half of a small jar I bought last year. |
My kid loves it. We have it once a week and would have it more except that a small 10oz box is at least 1.99. |
| We boil the couscous until it's extra large and soft and stuff it in our socks. The kids use it as "billy clubs" as they call them. Great fun and yim yum to eat what's left |
| Nope. I did not do that. |

My H bought a huge bag of rice at the beginning of the pandemic.
I don’t eat carbs but my college students got sent home so we ate about 1/2 of it in those 6 months they were home. I bought a bulk of bath salts because my dr recommend them in a bath to sleep better. But I hate baths. I gave some to my neighbor whose son runs cross county and soaks his soar muscles.

| I always have bags of rice, lentils, daals, all kinds of dried beans and bean soup mixes in the pantry. |
Do you have a good daal recipe? |
| We eat Israeli Couscous once a week. We love it. |
Sorry OP but I think buying an 11 lb bag means you are all set for hitting this point the only question is how many lbs it will take to get there! |
| You should have bought beans because they are protein packed OP |
| Nothing. I don’t get the bulk buying. Family of 5 and I don’t do this, ever. I don’t need food sitting in my pantry for ages |
no need to worry! I have 5lbs pintos 2lbs black beans 3lbs pigeon peas assorted white beans red lentils +canned |
| Whenever we buy in bulk for something the kids like, it's the kiss of death. They see the big bag or box from Costco and immediately lose all interest in eating it. High supply = low demand. |
