TLC Ob-Gyn?

Does anyone have any experience with this practice? they are in arlington and are affiliated with AHC. Thanks!

This was two practices that split this past year. I've been going to them for over 10 years and have been happy. Jane Piness is my primary but Karen King delivered my son 3 years ago. I haven't been since the split so I'm can't tell you what's changed in the past 9 months or so.

I just delivered with them back in December 2007. Jane Piness split from the group back in September. The new offices are much bigger than the old one. They have a very large following, and see many patients a day. That said, I never waited more than 1/2 hour for an appt. (not great, but really, since you have to go all the time when pg, I looked at it as a break from work!).

The other practice that split last September, Dr. Rossi's group (Arlington Women's Center), is nice too.
The hospital has changed it's name BTW. It's now called VHC (Virginia Hospital Center) since 2003.

Jane Piness delivered by little boy two years ago. I love her. The only downside to her practice is you have to wait a while after your appointment time to be seen, but that's because she really takes her time with each patient. She's never going to rush you in and out of her door. The new office is beautiful, and it makes you feel like you're going to the spa.

I agree with the PP. Love Dr. Piness and I like her nurses as well. She delivered my son shortly after she broke out of the group practice. I had a c-section and she was great. I also agree that there are often long wait times, but knowing that in advance, I always bring work or a book to keep me busy.

I got a terminal diagnosis with my daughter three years ago, I couldn't have gone through that loss without Karen. She delivered my healthy baby boy a year later, she even came in on her day off to deliver him. The practice is awesome, the doctors are caring and my personal experiences were excellent.
You learn more about a hospital or practice from someone who's gone through a negative experience and gotten what they needed from the staff.
Well worth a visit if you're looking for a suitable OB/GYN
