I do put grounds in the compost container using a strainer but there is no good way to do this without having some wet grounds all over the sink, etc and I don't have a sprayer. I hate cleaning up wet grounds. Is there a trick? Had the same problem when I used a brass filter with a drip coffeemaker.
Leave a tiny bit of coffee in press to help pour grounds out, or let them dry out until next day and scoop out with spoon. You can also use a water glass to rinse sink, we don’t have a sprayer and I’ve never noticed the issue.

? I shake out the grounds in the trash. I rinse the rest under the kitchen faucet. What's the problem? |
First, I knock out as many grounds as I can into the trash. Then I rinse with a small amount of water and dump over a fine mesh strainer. Knock the strainer over the garbage. Wash it all. Minimal grounds left in your sink.
this is why i stick with pout-over.
pour-over! lol
