tween jeans in slim sizes

Anonymous
I have an 11 yo DD who is very slim, and I am having a hard time finding jeans for her because she is so slim. If it fits in length, it is usually too large in the waist. She wants to wear loose fit jeans because that's what's in style so that's a problem. She wears about a size 12 kids, so adult sizes where you can choose waist and inseam length are not an option yet.

Does anyone know which brands have slim size kids/teen jeans? So far all I have found is Gap and style selection is limited. I know there are adjustable waist jeans out there, but would prefer not to have to go to those because when you adjust the waist a lot, it gets weird and bunchy.

We’re in this same boat. Look into 0/00/000 at Aeropostale if she’s tall enough. Mine will still wear leggings & jeggings, so that keeps a few doors open (eg ballerina-style jeggings at Old Navy).

It's been a few years, but Justice used to have a "super slim" cut. +1 to Aberbrombie, and I think H&M may have a slim fit, as well. Good luck. I totally feel your pain as a mom and know it's so frustrating for your daughter.

Go juniors. Pac sun has a size 22 option that’s pretty small

I was going to say this XS worked for us at this stage

Uniqlo, Zara, Mango have teen sizes.
And their women sizes run small, she might even fit some of those soon.

AE, they have so many sizes

I agree with American Eagle or Abercrombie, and I found that sometimes you have to order online the smallest sizes and then return them in store if they don’t fit. But they have a lot of 24 and 25 inch waist or extra extra smalls.

American Eagle.
My DD also wanted baggy jeans at that stage and they were really hard to find because everything was skinny -- so she took her brother's hand me downs and those worked great. It might be worth checking out the boys slim sizing at Old Navy -- they fit like "boyfriend jeans".

My very slim 11 yo likes some of the Uniqlo jeggings and jeans.
