My clinic had me taking 81 mg aspirin during my IVF stims. I stopped at the time of trigger. At discharge following my egg retrieval, they instructed me to start taking it again, which means I can't take ibuprofen (which is my general pain reliever of choice for menstrual cramps, headaches, muscle and nerve pain, etc.). I am doing PGT and with my age and history, it's possible we will not get any normal embryos from this cycle. I questioned why they want me back on aspirin while we will be waiting 2+ weeks for the PGT results. They said it's their "protocol" in "preparation for an FET". We won't know for a couple of weeks if we are even going to have any embryos to try an FET! This feels like they want me to take aspirin "just because". To me it makes much more sense to start aspirin again once we have confirmation that we are proceeding to an FET. Does anyone know if there are data that indicate taking aspirin in the luteal phase of the cycle before an FET cycle is beneficial? That would be the only way this makes any sense to me.
