My DD was accepted in this center and I was very happy with this, but now that I know for sure where are they moving, I'm not sure anymore. It's a litte bit farther away from our home, and also I'm thinking that during the move there will be some crazy time and some time to adjust to everybody, including my DD. This will be my DD first year at school, could this be a bad experience for her? She was also accepted in CCUMC preschool, which I also like, but chose Wonders because they offer 5 day, which I believe my DD is ready for. Any thoughts or recommendations? I still have a chance to withdraw and go to CCUMC but I want to be sure. Somebody there in the same situation? |
Is the Wonders at Edgemoor a possibility? |
I have no personal experience, but I've heard that CCUMC is better anyway because Wonders is more like a day care than a preschool. I'm not quite sure what the difference between a perschool and a day care is though!. Regardless, I would be hesitant to enroll in a school that required a commute if I had other options. |
In my experience once the kids hit the Pre-K level, there is NO difference between day care and preschool. Except that day care goes all day. It's essentially a morning of preschool and an afternoon of naps and playing. I don't know why people get their panties in a wad over that, it should be simple to understand. OP, I've toured both CCUMCP and Wonders at CC Circle and frankly thought they were both great. Ended up using neither due to logistics. But if you need all day care, CCUMCP will probably not work for you.

OP here, I actually don't need full day child care, just the mornings, so from that perspective I don't care. I wanted 5 days because I though my DD will enjoy it so much that she will ask for more. I still haven't been able to make a decision, and I have until tomorrow. Financially it makes a huge difference CCUMC is only $450 a month and Wonders $1,350. We were willing to make the sacrifice because we liked the location of Wonders, plus the flexible hours from dropping and picking up. Also, bacause Wonders seemed more diverse than CCUMC. But, now with the move and not knowing how the new facilities will be, if other kids will withdraw, etc, I can't decide!!!! At this point, I'm leaning towards CCUMC but.....HELP ![]() |
