Gestational carrier support groups - for intended parents

My gestational carrier is 9 weeks pregnant - we have a social worker but all support seems to be geared towards the surrogate. Does anyone know of any groups for intended parents? Just looking for folks who are in the same boat as us. I’m not on social media - is that where people find these groups?

Yes. There are a ton on FB. I just joined a few recently. Congrats!

I know the agency I used had a FB group for intended parents, but I never joined, because it was monitored by the agency, and half the reason I wanted a group like that was to complain about the agency!

Surromomsonline used to have forums for IPs and surrogates, but it’s pretty much dead now. Check resolve.org to see if there are any good resources there. Congrats!

I'd check out Instagram. We didn't have a surrogate but used donor eggs, and there is a huge community of parents via egg donation. That community kept me sane before, during, and after our transfer/pregnancy. There might be a similar community for parents via surrogacy.

The admins at surromoms are awful. NEVER post there. I posted something that I later regretted as it was too revealing, but they refused to take it down despite my repeated requests. There's a reason that forum died and it was stuff like this by the admins.
