I am expecting in less than 2 months. I will try breastfeeding, if not working I will do formula 100% or supplementing. I hear of formula shortage in store/online due to some formula recall. I am a bit worried and wonder if formula shortage will be resolved when my baby is out?
Should I but a jug of formula (enfamil) just in case or hospital/pediatrician will gives me enough samples if I ask them to survive? |
| I'm due in under 2 weeks. Its still fairly easy to get formula with the recall as long as you aren't looking for formula that is subject to the recall. I can't get the 2 oz bottles of ready to feed Enfamil anywhere but I can get bigger bottles or powdered formula easily. If it will put your mind at ease go ahead and buy some but unless you are anticipating a baby with very specific allergies I don't think this is a huge issue. |
| Go ahead and stock up, but if you end up not needing it please donate it to a food bank. Keep an eye on the expiry, it is surprisingly short. |
