What’s a hobby you and your kid enjoy doing today?

I don’t mean things you only like doing because it’s something your kid enjoys (playing magnitiles, coloring etc)…I mean something you actually enjoy doing and your kid does as well and you do it together?

For me - indoor rock climbing with my 6yo. And my husbands is complex Lego sets with him

Hope to have other fun things to bond with our other kids over but it’s too early to tell what types of things they’ll be in to!

I’ve imparted my love of rock climbing, scuba diving, and snow boarding to my kids. We don’t do too many European museum vacations.

Fostering dogs. Welcomed a pregnant dog and helped her have her puppies. Not for the faint of heart.

Hiking, Lego, board games, puzzles. Older DD is 6, and we've gotten really into sharing these activities in the past year.

Going on “adventures” - I like regional parks, family farms, museums, etc. Basically exploring all the cool attractions near us!

I love going to thrift stores with my 5 yo. We find the best books at Goodwill. I also buy clothes and household stuff there. He always gets a toy. He doesn’t seem to understand or know that the stuff is used.

At least once a month we hit up a couple of our favorite thrift stores and then have a nice lunch together.

My son is really into other cultures and geography. So every month we choose an ethnic restaurant (Thai, Ethiopian, etc.) and learn a bit about the country, including a couple words in their language. We look them up on the map and read a couple books about their culture. Then we go have lunch in the restaurant together before starting all over again.

We also both speak Spanish (I’m not native speaker or anything) but we enjoy learning new words together and also going to the Mexican bakeries and trying out new pastries and ordering in Spanish.

Hiking and our love for dogs. Indoors we just did a paint by numbers picture together. We both enjoyed that, we luckily had space to leave it out so would do 15-20 mins here and there together.
