Can any PHS teachers explain how your duty day works with the extended schedule? TIA!

As a PHS parent, I can tell you that only SMCS teachers seem to have extended day responsibilities since only SMCS students have the extra period and it’s always been a SMCS class in that slot (DC is a junior so three years of experience talking).

Thank you! I couldn't track down anyone who had heard of the school's day, I wonder if their office staff works longer hours a day who supervises their study hall.

When my junior was a freshman he had AP Govt 8th period with a bunch of other SMCS kids. I got the impression that teacher volunteered to stay late for the extra class.

After school study hall is in the media center and I think that the librarian / media specialist is there.

Some extracurriculars definitely run later than at other schools if they wait after 8th period to start. It’s only some and I don’t how the decision about whether to wait on the SMCS students is made, unless it’s a club or sport where the advisor/coach is teaching 8th period.
