I haven't been able to find anything I love even half as much as DevaCurl, but as one of the "lucky ones" who experienced scalp issues with their products I need to keep looking. My hair LOVED their products, but my scalp did not, so I need replacements for:
No Poo Original shampoo One Condition Original Light Defining Gel I have fine curls & waves. Any recommendations? |
| I used to use aveda be curly style prep, and curl enhancer mixed with deva curl light defining gel. On a friend's recommendation - I swapped out the deva curl light defining gel for Tigi Bed Head Foxy Curls Extreme Curl Mousse |
| I love the Curlsmith Hold Me Softly styling cream. You might want to check out some of their products. I did try a Curlsmith styling "souffle" that was not like a souffle at all - it was like a slippery gel that was impossible to get onto my hands and turned the shower into a slip-n-slide. |
| Innersense! My curly hair stylist has switched from Deva to Innersense. They are pricey, but work well for me. |
|
Have you tried anything by:
- Aveda - Bumble and Bumble -Moroccan Oil -Kerastase All of those lines have products for curly hair that I’ve been happy with. |
| I use Ouidad Curl Shaper Shampoo and Conditioner, and Climate Control Heat and Humidity gel on my 2b hair. |
| I've recently tried Rizos line and have been very happy with it. $20ish per bottle, you can find them at some targets and online. |
| Thanks for the suggestions! |
| I love CurlyWorld Sham Free and Terms & Conditions followed by Innersense Quiet Calm. |
| Mixed Chicks |
| I got you! Wash with Aveda curly shampoo (the sage green bottle I forget the exact name). Condition with Dove intensive conditioner. I discovered gel is bad for my hair but if you really need it then get Fructis and mix it with a dab of water to replicate the Deva gel feel. I stopped using gel and now crunch with Aveda anti frizz serum instead (sage green tiny squirt bottle). |
| Ouidad or Innersense |
