My preschool child is giving a light up small toy. Elementary boy is giving a small candy and small pop it.
I just realized I forgot to give a Valentine to the teachers. Do you give a Valentine to the teacher? I know some families go all out and DIY. It was hard enough for us to write the names and assemble our store bought ones. |
|
Valentine's cards with mini Hershey bars attached for all 3 kids.
Their main teachers got a heart box of Ferrero Rochers and card with $10 Starbuck's gc. |
| Cards with pencils attached |
Op here. I feel like I should have done something like this. Maybe I will get something and give at pick up. |
| My K kid did avenger's valentines w/temporary tattoos. She got packages of valentine's stickers for each of her teachers and we sent that in w/the same valentine's she gave the kids. It's okay, OP. If you feel like you'd like to do more just do something extra special for teacher appreciation week, or around spring break or something. |
| Fruit tray and vegetable tray as requested for the class party, cards for all the kids and teachers. |
| My kids (K and 3rd) made their own cards. Some are better than others... They raided our candy stash and taped different things to the cards (mostly Dum Dums). |
Chocolate heart candy box for the teachers and valentine cards with candy/glow in the dark ring for the kids for one kid and the other has pokemon keychains attached to her cards. Most things bought off Amazon, I do ALOT of my shopping for things like this online as I HATE scouring stores for items/dealing with crowds. |
| Juice boxes for the party as requested by daycare. I meant to make cards (with “help” from my kid) yesterday but ran out of energy. |

We baked and decorated heart cookies and kid did the simple little valentines with the "to" and "from". I had to help with the valentines because she's not super proficient at writing yet.
I sort of regret the cookies because they wound up being hard to package (and I had to do that part on my own) and I wonder if people will just throw them away as a baked good from a stranger. But I mostly did it so we'd have an activity together and I just wasn't up for a crafty project. I bet the other kids will just give candy or toys like people are saying on here and my kid will let me know we did it "wrong." Sigh. This aspect of parenting is very hard for me -- I feel like I never quite get it right. I also think most of her classmates have older siblings so the parents know the drill and I very much do not. Oh well! I tried. |
Oh, we did do teacher valentines though! So there's that. I never forget the teachers because everyday I think "thank god for these teachers." I have true affection for them. |
| Our school doesn't allow food/candy so sent in a keychain version of those pop-it fidget things. |

If you sent in some sort of card for each kid, you did enough. Either handmade or store-bought is equally fine. Bonus points if you included the teacher.
I always find lollipops are the easiest to tape to a card and travel the best. |

Plain, boring cards.
Teacher requested no food/drinks, toys, pencils/pens, or fun basically, lol. This was not a school rule, just this specific teacher's rule. Jokes on them. I let my kid have a heart donut from Dunkin' after breakfast for dessert. And then he let me know that it was the best morning ever because dad let him have a mini chocolate bar before breakfast. Enjoy the kid hopped up on sugar, you fun sucker. |

Cards for classmates. Nothing for their teachers.
