What’s that mean for me? |
He is a trumpkin who will endanger your public health. |
He is nothing like Trump and when you say stuff like that, you have zero credibility. That's half the reason the country is falling apart -- nobody can recognize or acknowledge that there is a spectrum of policies and actions, and that compromise is the only way we will move forward. |
The link is a three minute video from The Hill YouTube channel. It’s him announcing that it’s time to stop panicking and move on. |

Fair enough. What and how is he compromising? And whose deaths? |
I agree. I didn't vote for him, but this is a profoundly stupid and dangerous take. I think there is a very good case for removing any remaining restrictions now. Moreover, the issue should be debated on its merits, not with this kind of ad hominem attack. |
| He’s decided he is not running for Senate. So, he is instead running for president and thus needs to pander to the Republican right. |
And in this case, the Republican right is right about offramping mask mandates and other Covid restrictions. Deal with it. |
|
Thank you , Gov. Hogan, for being a leader on this issue and for having the common sense to move forward.
If you should ever run for president, you have my vote. |

What are you talking about? Are you even paying attention to what’s happening nationally? Oregon, Connecticut, Delaware and New Jersey are dropping a rolling back their mask mandates. All of them are Democratic governors. In dark blue states. Nothing about this is pandering to the ‘right’. |
Yup. Demanding that the restrictions all remain in place when there is no need for them would be crazy. And for that reason, it would also not be a winning electoral strategy. This isn't about the Republican right, it is about common sense. |
