Chips and dip, drinks (beer and/or soft drinks).

Cool some apps from the freezer aisle (potato skins, dumplings, egg rolls, etc.). Or some bottles of wine or case of beer.

Good tortilla chips and some dips (guacamole/queso/salsa). Whole pizza from good takeout place. So many options esp if there are no food allergies.

I picked up a fruit tray, a vegetable tray and a tray of 7-layer dip from Wegmans today for an improptu gathering.
