Is 2 hours of independent playtime spread over 2-3 seasons too much?
Assume baby is engaged with and with lots of love and stimulation for the rest of the time. |
| Not too much if they are content. |
| Totally depends on the child. |
| Not too much. I let mine have as much as she tolerates at home. She is engaged all day at daycare 40h a week so there's no shortage of engaged playtime. |
| DD is just 1.5 but we encourage as much independent play as she wants. She’s home with a very engaged nanny and always seems to want to play alone when she comes home from their morning outing. |
| My extrovert couldn't do this, my introvert isn't 2 yet and can do this. |

Thanks
I sometimes work on the weekend and my husband wants to relax more instead of just engaging with the baby so we let the baby entertain himself for 2 hours. We recently started increasing that to 2.5 - 3 and the baby does not seem to Mind. That way I can work and my husband can relax. |
