I’ve worn out the steering wheel in my truck. It’s fully functioning, but the plastic/vinyl has worn out. I see there are leather covers I could kind of see on. Are there better options? Any and all suggestions appreciated.
Google "automotive upholstery near me" and call around to different auto upholstery shops and see if they can re-wrap your steering wheel with a good quality leather for a decent price.
Tons of covers on Amazon or you can walk into an automotive supply store (Advanced Auto or Pep Boys).
You can also probably just buy a new one on EBay
Either get a new wheel or take it to an automotive upholstery shop to get recovered. Those aftermarket ones you put on yourself all suck. Ket Auto Upholstery in Alexandria did a good job on my Jeep. They put on a new headliner as well.
*Key Auto, sorry.

Are you in the DMV? If so, check your local LKQ (auto recycler ie junkyard) and get a new wheel.
They have their vehicle inventory online but you have to search for each location individually |
Buy a cover. With the presence of an airbag in the middle of the wheel, replacement is not just a plug-and-play exercise.
