Did You Love Your In-Home?

I'm working with Monday Morning Moms in a month or so, and also have reached out to CareLuLu, but would love recommendations from real live people! My son is almost 3, and I am due with another baby over the summer. I need somewhere I can take both kids for care--my commute cannot handle 2 seperate drop offs, so most preschools won't work.

I can go anywhere in the Rockville/Derwood/Silver Spring/Wheaton/North Bethesda area.

yes I loved our in home daycare near North Bethesda Middle School- it's Spanish immersion and called Smart Kids. I trust them 100% and felt they were really caring and interested in helping the children develop

Loved mine. I also stayed at mine longer so that my kids could be together longer. I especially liked it with babies because it was more customized to their schedule. There were usually about 4-6 kids and only one was an infant. I didn't like how in regular daycares infants were in their own room together.

Yes, I loved both of mine. The first one moved to Poolesville and the second one is in Silver Spring but has a years-long waitlist (Buenos Amigos Spanish immersion). Keep looking, it took us a while to land a spot.

Everyone I know who has gone to Circle Time has had a positive experience- with a 3yo you may be restricted to the center location though, I think they encourage kids over 2 to move on from the in-home locations.

It may be a bit difficult to find an in-home with older playmates for your 3yo, so be sure to ask about that. I would have recommended my previous in-home as *we* had an overall good experience with my two kids and there was generally a good mix of ages, but a couple times now the provider has decided the preschool aged cohort needed to go and abruptly gave parents little notice to find somewhere else. So I can no longer recommend them in good faith due to that lack of trust.

I adored our in home! It was the best decision for our family in so many ways!!

I suggest going on the MD state listings and searching by zip code. 20902 and 20906 will yield you some great options to tour at more reasonable prices than the other areas. Some especially good ones in the neighborhoods near Oakland Terrace and Flora Singer.
