Cacapon Resort State Park Lodge

Has anyone stayed here and can share reviews? We’re thinking of taking our kids (1 and 5) next weekend. Any recs for things to do in the area for those ages?

We spent a day at the lodge to watch the eclipse. The lodge was nice, not fancy. The cabins are cute, not fancy. There is a golf course and a swimming spot. Looked like a fun place to gather a group / have a reunion. Berkley Springs is nearby, and -- in the warm weather 00 the downtown has a fun spring and accessible waterway (even for littles) to wade in and scoop with nets to catch minnows and crayfish, a small community pool, and the NPS Hot Springs Bath House. Make a reservation for a hot bath and massage, if that interests you (and you can take turns entertaining the kids elsewhere). Little shops to browse. The Mexican restaurant has nice service and the normal fare. Teri's is a fancier restaurant. We haven't explored much outside of that. Have fun.

We spent a weekend at the lodge and my kids really liked it. I wrote a review for TripAdvisor. It is new so the facilities were nice but staffing/services needed to work out kinks. I would verify that restaurants will be open when you are there. Hi
