Dried noodles/pasta in slow cooker soup?

Anonymous
I am making Chicken soup in the slow cooker today and want to add dried egg noodles or small pasta (ditalini) but I am feeling lazy and don't want to boil them in a separate pot. Can I add it into the slow cooker and when should I do it? Some recipes I saw online said to add them 15 mins before but that sounds too short to me. Anyone done this?

I just make pasta/noodles/orzo on the stovetop and let people add it on their own.

I'd do more like 20-30.

I also cook pasta separately and it’s mainly due to the leftovers. Noodles left in the broth get too mushy.

OP here... I put egg noodles in for the last 20 minutes. They came out perfect!
