Clam chowder recipe?

Anonymous
Anyone have a good recipe that tastes like what you might get at a restaurant? I’m thinking of New England style but open to Manhattan as well. Thanks!

I have made both during pandemic:

1. NE- crumbled bacon, 1 1/2 cups water, 4 cups chopped potatoes, salt+ pepper, 3 cups of half + half, 3 tablespoons butter, 2 cans of minced clams, cornstarch "slurry"- 1 part cornstarch to 2 parts water. Yum. Just heat up.

2. MD- crumbled bacon, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 chopped carrots, 2 chopped celery stalks, thyme, celery seed, 12 ounces tomato juice, 2 cans minced clams salt + pepper, 4 cups chopped potatoes, hot sauce to taste, 14 ounces broth, 1 cup corn kernels. Heat up.
