Our first sons name is Connor. We are trying to pick a name for our second son and are considering the names below
- Owen - Caleb - Henry - Oliver - Benjamin Which name do you think goes best? |
| OP here. My husband loves Charlie but I had a cat named Charlie growing up and we don’t like Charles so this will most likely be his middle name if not first name. Still very undecided unless we just name him Charlie. Feels weird to name a child x Charles and then call them Charlie instead of by their first name. |
I have a Charles who has only ever been Charlie. His first girlfriend used to call him Charles as a term of endearment but he’s never used it for anything other than official documentation. |
| Owen or Benjamin |

I like all your names and think the all “go” with Connor. I would not pick Henry because I hear it too much.
Charlie us one of my favorite boy names and I personally wouldn’t let the cat thing get in the way. But if it prevents you from using it as his first name, I’d scrap it as an option altogether. Don’t name him Benjamin Charles and call him Charlie. That makes no sense. |
I think the issue OP has is she doesn’t like Charles and people night assume her kids name is Charles instead of Charlie. |
NP. My son is Charles nn Charlie. 0% of people have ever called him Charles. Teachers and doctors see the name and immediately jump to Charlie. I also don't like the name Charles. I was doing my taxes over the weekend and was like "Charles- who is that?!" ha. |
| I like Owen or Charles/Charlie. |
|
Caleb.
Connor and Caleb go together so well, and yet retain uniqueness from each other. |
| I think Connor and Owen go well together. |
|
Charles/chuck/Chas
I prefer Connor + Henry Conner + Benji I also like Oliver but always think of the play |
|
Charlie, Benjamin, Henry
Theodore/Theo ? |
| Depends on what your last name is. |
+1 Love Oliver and Benjamin. Strongly dislike the other ones. |
OP here. We would use the nn Charlie. Benjamin would be nn Ben. We do not like Benji. |
