A couple times a week my DS breath will smell like a dirty diaper. This is both in the am and during the day. We do a really good job at brushing his teeth. Anybody else have this problem. He is almost 2.
I read once that most of the "smell" that comes from a mouth is actually from the tongue, so unless you are brushing your child's tongue that is probably it. I noticed my son's breath smells, too, even after we have brushed his teeth, but he will not allow us to brush his tongue so that may be the problem.
We have been brushing his tongue. Any other ideas?

Flossing?
Sinus issues? |
How do you get to the tongue? I am luck to be able to get into my 15-month-old's mouth to get to her teeth.
Has your DC been ill? I notice this when my DS has a cold. I think it's from the post-nasal drip.
