Would you sell a ‘19 van you’re paying off & get a smaller car w/no car payment in this market?

I keep getting postcards from dealerships offering to buy my 2019 Honda Odyssey for more than I paid for it. Would I be a fool to sell it in hopes of finding a cheaper car that I could pay for outright in cash? I no longer need the cargo space and would be comfortable in a smaller SUV or sedan. If I sell the van I’d walk away with $18,000 to put toward a new used car.

The van was nice for boy scout events and camping as well as transporting groups of kids to various church functions. Now that my son drives I’m driving less and less.

Has anyone BTDT? What would you get In the $18k price range?

I'd shop around for sales prices.
