made Beef Stew in my Instant Pot. Came out great! But now my house, my clothes, my hair smells like meat. How do I get the smell out. I even changed my clothes and I still smell it.
|
| Never experienced that with beef stew. |
| Sounds like the meat was going bad OP. |
Oh trust me, your house smells like meat after you make stew. |
| Did you use a slow cooker stew mix? I used that and not only did everything stink, I felt nauseated and couldn't eat it. |
| If the smell of meat grosses you out, consider going vegetarian |
| Open windows, take a shower. |
| Sometimes I use (and vent) my instant pot on my deck for this very reason. |
| Shave your head and burn all your clothes? Probably have to burn the place down too, and start all over. |
| There are few things that make a house smell better than a pot of stew in the oven. Maybe chocolate chip cookies, or banana bread. |
| The misplaced thinking that everything is better in an Instant Pot just has to be laid to rest. Is it quicker? Sure. Will it give you a stew even half as good as one prepared in a Dutch oven? No way. |
| Air out your house, take a shower, light a candle. |
| We like the smell of slow-cooked stew pervading the house. |
It's okay that night but it needs to go away by morning. I make sure to wash all dishes and take out the trash and all is good by morning. |
