| Are there sites for same gender heterosexual people to meet and build friendships instead of dating for relationships. |
| Meetup? |
Is it any good or just weirdos and sales people? |
|
That's not dating.
There are friend meeting apps . I think Bumble has a friend option. |
| If you’re in the DC area, Washingtonian Problems (on Instagram) does a “friend match” every other month or so. People post a few details about themselves and then you can respond. You can post for yourself. |
| Most of my friends are from school, college or work but this sounds useful if I move to a new town. |
| I’ve heard of the Bumble friend thing a PP mentioned. Not sure if it works for people or not. |
| Its kind of dating as you don't have a connection or belong to a group so if this wont workout, there is no ackwardness. |
| Meetups aren’t all weirdos, just find an activity that interests you and join one. |
+1 meetups have worked well for me as have just joining hobbies (in my case a gym with classes) |
| Bumble for friends. I used it, felt a little odd since I used the dating side before but it seems to work well. |
|
Meetups are definitely not all weirdos.
I’m not looking for a relationship right now but meetups have been great for making friends. Just try out a few things you are interested in. |
| Not sure if you're familiar with Airport Parties, but they can be a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people. They say "Screens Are Mean" and "Screens Are Not In Our Genes" so you're unlikely to find much on line. But ask around. Airport Parties are fun! |
| Just be married for 15 years |
+1 My friend did this and met a good group of women, all platonic. |
