daycare where caregivers wear clear masks

Anyone using a daycare where care givers wear clear masks? I like the idea of this.

As a special educator, I liked the idea. In reality they just don't work very well. They get foggy very fast, and then they're opaque.

I would do that. Do you think it would be weird for me to ask the daycare if theyd be interested in doing that? Its an inhome. The woman running it was wearing a cloth mask anyway, so its not like shed be going from a N95 to a clear mask

I’m a speech pathologist and have tried every single one on the market and none of them work. It’s impossible for them to not fog up. I’ve tried so many methods, that’s why if all parties are vaccinated I ask politely to use my shield. Everyone is cool with it because for as much as you put for therapy you want to see your therapists face and mouth. I feel bad for my clients under 2 because they aren’t vaccinated and that’s when you need to see my mouth move and shape sounds the most. There is a reason it didn’t take off in schools and daycares op!

They’re awful. Don’t do that. Are you going to wear one? At least try it out for a week.

Any suggestions for ones that work well?

I'm an inhome provider and have tried a few, but they fog up quickly. For now I've moved as much of our day outside as possible, to reduce my masked time. When case levels in the area are high I do use a N95 indoors, but would be happy to wear a clear one when case numbers are low.
