CX-5 used

I am looking at these for my son (16) but used ones are almost same price as new... unless we buy with one tons of miles which I am not going. (My own car has 105K so I am not starting in with more maintenance) These used ones are 27k+ with the features we need and most are 28-29k. New ones are 30k// am i Missing something?

It’s the car market right now. We were looking into a used Honda CRV. Prices were ridiculous. We ended up buying new.

How much more was new? So why are people even buying used then? And what's an "acceptable" difference...
I guess if I can save 4-5k of course used i would get, but then I need to find out about new interest rates, if they offer 0 percent financing and then warranty stuff. So exhausting.

Right there with you!! I’m in the market for a CX-5 (had one in the past and LOVED it). My husband and I went this past week to look and a 2019 was $25,000. I can get a 2022 for $29,000. Most likely we are going to get a new one.
