I have had a lease for more than 3 years but i am thinking about buying the car from the dealership. I got the car brand new and have been the only person driving it. Should i still have a mechanic inspect it before I buy even though I know the car history very well?
thanks, |
| I am thinking I would not. How is the history? Does the make and model have any known gotchas that could be found by a knowledge mechanic? I assume the inspection results are for you to decide yes or no, and not used to bring the price down if something significant is uncovered? |

No, I can't imagine why you would need this?
Unless you have a turbo engine or some other feature that's known to crap out early... but in that case don't buy the car regardless. |
| I would not waste my money. |
