| Which is better? I need for basic stuff like going to the grocery store. I have family of 3. May also do road trips. |
| I recently made this decision and went with rav 4 hybrid because the Subaru engine feels weirdly jumpy and underpowered. Also the gas savings with hybrid is incredible. It’s like 450 miles to the tank or something. |

They + CRV are very similar. Forester doesn't have Hybrid option.
We looked at all three, test drove all three, went with Forester. It really comes down to personal preference with these three cars imo. |
| Both are great cars. I have a Rav4 and like it. Test drive and see what you like best. |
| Neither, I drive an Outback. |
| If you bought a new RAV4 hybrid how much was it? |

wife ended up with a optioned out 2018 forester over a rav hybrid. she liked it more. so far 18K miles we are at 28mpg average. she was hell bent on wanting the AWD...
but she's never needed it... whatever makes you happy... |
| theyre very similar. we went with forester. |

We test drove both. We were considering the RAV4 Hybrid XRS vs. an Outback Premium.
We ended up needing to spend $9K more to get the RAV4 with all the options we were getting with the Outback. We went with the Outback. That said, I am disappointed with Subaru's MPG. |
