Best quick chicken breast (incl. store bought) for salads?

Anonymous
What store-bought skinless chicken breast do you like best for throwing on salads for a quick healthy meal? The packaged ones such as Tysons have a lot of preservatives and a nasty aftertaste. But I don't always have time to cook one for myself, and when I grill them in a batch, the leftovers taste rubbery. Any suggestions? I'd have grilled chicken breast over salad every day if it were easy. Thanks.

I buy the Purdue ones but you are right, they are full of preservatives. Just saw something yesterday in the paper about how much sodium they have. I also like the cut up slices from Costco and Trader Joes. My hunch is that the TJ ones might have less crap added to them.

I make them in a batch and heat in the toaster oven. The microwaves makes chicken rubbery. I don't like the perdue much.

Buy them from Whole Foods - natural, hormone free, etc. They taste way better and don't have the junk that Tysons and Perdue have.
