Summer Swim Lessons or Half Day Camps?

Anonymous
Anyone know of any good summer swim lessons or half day options (like 9-12 p.m.) for 8 and 9 year old girls who are working on stroke development? I know of St. Alban's but I am wondering if there is anything else. Ideally NW DC or Bethesda area. Thank you and happy summer camp shopping!

I don't have personal experience but they offer swim camp at the Anthony Bowen YMCA. They might be filled up for the summer though.

The Y often has swim camps.

NP but any other options in DC or close in suburbs, especially close to NE DC?

I looked at the Anthony Bowen site but either the camp is full or hasn't been posted yet? I couldn't it to come up as a registration option.

My kid can swim (age 6) but would like a change to swim daily in a class environment and work on strokes and other skills. Super comfortable in the water, great safety skills, good body position and good with kicks, but still kind of flailing around in both freestyle and backstroke and wants to be "good" at these.

Hoping to do may be two weeks of swim camp this summer as she's always learned best with clustered lessons than weekly when it comes to swimming.

Kids elite at murch or Jackson Reed. I think swimming is back at Jackson Reed, it had stopped due to the pandemic.

We've done this one and STA. I felt kids elite was better for everyone & everything and STA better for focusing on a sport/skill.

How do you figure out what activities are available at the JR camp? The website is vague and while it mentions the aquatic center, it doesn't list swimming anywhere as a listed activity.
