why can I not get CBS and ABC over antenna?

Anonymous
I can get NBC and FOX (in Fairfax, VA) and I'm using the those leaf antennas (mohu). I've seen that CBS and FOX need a VHF antenna but I thought these indoor leaf antenna can do both UHF and VHF signals but for some reason I can not get CBS and ABC.

Can somebody lead me to a single antenna that works for NBC, FOX, CBS, and ABC that I can just screw to the coaxial output on the back of my tv and put near my window? Thanks.

I'm Fairfax and get all the channels. I have an amplified mohu leaf that I bought several years back. something similar to this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/mohu-leaf-50-amplified-indoor-hdtv-antenna-60-mile-range-black-white/3488006.p?skuId=3488006

I think it depends where you live. Ask your neighbors.

ABC 7 and CBS 9 are on the VHF band, which has lower propogation than UHF signals. An outdoor antenna (if possible) is the way to go to get VHF

All the other major signals in the area are on UHF - even NBC 4, which is technically UHF channel 48
