Newspaper/Magazine subscroptions on the Kindle

I have my Washington Post subscription through my Amazon account. It automatically delivers the paper to our Fire Kids tablet every day. Is there any way to make it stop? I have looked in "Manage Subscriptions" in my Amazon account and also under "Manage Devices and Content" and nothing I have found seems to allow me to preemptively stop it downloading the next day's issue. If I have to, I guess I can just cancel my subscription and go through the Washington Post website instead, but it seems surprising that one can't stop the newspaper from downloading onto a device marketed for kindergartners!
