If you buy a brand new Rolls Royce when you trade it in for another they provide annual updates on your trade in as long as it is dealer serviced.
The Rolls Royce Dealer I talked to said they have a 1923 model still being serviced so coming up on 100 years since sold at that dealer and always serviced that dealer. The car outlived three owners already. Bit of a gimmick but it is amazing at same time. Any other car companies do quirky things! |
| That would annoy me. When I get rid of a car, it’s dead to me. |
I mean, you could probably ask not to receive the updates... |
Same. |

Personally i would love to know only certain cars like my mothers old car and two classic cars I owned.
Very very high end exotic cars I do know folks who like to see then get a good home. But no not a Camry or Ford Focus |
| I’m in a situation where I wish I knew the history of my 46 year old classic car. The VIN is too old to pull any information and the manufacturer doesn’t have any l thing either. |
| It seems like a huge privacy violation for the current owner |
| HIPAA violation |
Is this a joke?! On what basis would a car company be subject to HIPAA?! |
This and why would I care? |
| Who buys a used Rolls Royce? |
Posers? |
|
Why would anyone want this?
|
Of course it’s a joke, you fool. |
| A used rolls will lead an increasingly sad life with each sale as new buyers are less and less able to maintain it. If it manages to survive long enough, it may become a classic, but that's a big if. The old top gear did an episode about buying a used rolls for the same price as a Nissan, the catch was that the Rolls had a service bill that was also the same price as a Nissan. For perspective, here's a RR dealer in Pasadena explain the $650-$2000 oil change https://www.rollsroycepasadena.com/service/service-and-parts-tips/rolls-royce-oil-change-cost/. Do you think the forth owner buying the car on at a buy here pay here lot 15 yers from now is going actually pay that? |
