Spotting at 4 weeks and good outcomes?

Anonymous
I have had two chemical pregnancies in the past, both in the week following a positive test. Today I had some brown spotting at 14 dpo, after positive tests for the last few days. I have two kids and never bled in either successful pregnancy. Has anyone had spotting and gone on to have a successful pregnancy? Just looking for some hope here, I was sure this one would stick :/

Yes I had probably 2-4 weeks of spotting after I learned I was pregnant around 4 weeks. I did call my doctor a lot and went in for 1-2 checks after a bout of heavier bleeding. All was fine and she is 2 now.

My mother says she bled so much through her pregnancy with my brother she couldn't BELIEVE that he came out healthy.

He's 42 now, with three kids of his own.

I had spotting at week 4 and I’m still pregnant. Given the timing I think it was implantation bleeding.

This could be normal implantation bleeding. A little bit of spotting is okay from what my OB told me. I had this with my baby and she came out okay!

I spotted during weeks 4 and 5. She is 16 now.

I spotted heavily for the first few months, to the point where I thought the pregnancy was doomed. It was a rough pregnancy, but she's 15 years old now.
Progesterone supplements helped, I think.

Thank you so much. It stopped so I feel better for now. Just scary when it's new.

I had bleeding off and on from week 5 to 9 with my current pregnancy - I was convinced I was having another miscarriage, but it was an SCH and I'm now 29 weeks.

It could definitely be either implantation bleeding or an SCH - definitely go get checked if it gets heavy enough to fill a bad or you have cramping!

I did. All turned okay for us.

I bled with both my pregnancies, although a bit later than 4 weeks. At around 5-6 weeks, I seem to recall. For DC1, my OB told me there was nothing to worry about. For DC2, it was rather significant bleeding, so I went to the ER, where I was told that I was having a miscarriage. Well that "miscarriage" is now 11 years old and very sprightly and quick-witted!

I've had only one pregnancy but I had a lot of brown spotting the first month or so, heavy at times, and it always scared me so much! It happened more when I would exercise so I stopped altogether for the rest of the pregnancy (and another 2 years, to be honest) and I really wish I hadn't done that.

Same.

I've had spotting and everything was okay
Spotting to bleeding and lost the pregnancy
No bleeding lost the pregnancy

So could be anything

I had basically a full-on period with both of my pregnancies - heavy spotting for 7-10 days around the time I would have gotten my period.

Both times OB said just wait and see, both times it stopped and I went on to have totally healthy pregnancies and deliveries (and babies)
