APS cancels morning activites until 12

No snow is sticking yet, its only 4pm. Yet the cancelled morning activities? Why wouldn't they wait until tomorrow morning?

And at the same time, DPR has not closed the fields even though snow is accumulating. Right hand, left hand, 🤷‍♀️

The roads are wet and slippery now, and will freeze overnight. I’m glad to know that we don’t need to set the alarm to see if DC has a basketball game in the morning.

County DPR and APS are entirely different entities. DPR programs frequently run when APS is closed over one snowflake remaining on the ground somewhere in the County.

My kid had an 11:45 AM basketball game. Now canceled because APS doesn't open until noon. Super frustrating and arbitrary. Kids have already had so much canceled in the past 2.5 years, can't APS please start making an effort???

County DPR and APS are entirely different entities. DPR programs frequently run when APS is closed over one snowflake remaining on the ground somewhere in the County.

I think we are all aware of the distinction, there is no need to be pedantic. The point was the logical inconsistencies between different arms of the same small county.

Same situation! My kid is so sad. This is supposed to stop in the morning. It’s hardly a dusting.

Look I’m with you that kids have lost a lot and borne the brunt of this pandemic. But histrionics don’t help your point. Covid really began HERE March 13, 2020 when schools closed. It’s January 2022. It hasn’t even been 2 full years, let alone 2.5 like you claim.
