Even more specifically, if someone stated "No cooked fish", would that include lobster? Came up on Below Deck TV show. Guest was served lobster ravioli, asked if it was cooked, then said she had repeatedly stated no cooked fish. Then pushed with, "It it is shellFISH."
What say you, DCUM? |
| It’s seafood. Specifically crustacean. |
| It’s shellfish. |
| I say no, because my mother has a fish allergy and can eat shellfish (and loves lobster). But in this context, sounds like all seafood should have been avoided… |
| It's a sea bug. |
|
Agree that in context, the direction should have been no cooked seafood.
Lobster is not a fish. |
| It's an invertebrate. Fish are vertebrates. |
| Did you just watch Below Deck? |
| It is not a fish. |
| Not a fish. I wouldn't call oysters or clams a fish either. |
Last night. mentioned it was from an episode so hopefully no one would blame me. The guests also had an issue with water being not sparkling, but they did not call it flat. Maybe they said it was low? |
I can’t eat seafood so I would have specifically said no seafood (raw or cooked!). I know better that if I don’t want to be served shellfish or fish I gotta say that. Sounds like they wanted sashimi only? |
Ha must have missed the water part. Shellfish lady was nuts. I think people just try to be difficult. |
| OP again, so guest would have eaten raw lobster? Her issue is with the texture of fish when it was cooked. She even asked if the lobster was cooked, friend told her of course it is cooked. That is when guest said she doesn't eat cooked fish. |
