Looking for guidance/recommendations for preschools with great OTs on staff. Prefer DC but open to suburbs.
Child will be 3 in the summer, going to outpatient OT currently and we anticipate the transition to preschool will be tough (let's face it, it's a pandemic, child hasn't really been around a lot of other children) and would like a good staff OT for support with those transitions. Open to anything -- private OR DCPS OR charter. Anyone have great experiences to share? |
Not in DC but Katherine Thomas School or Maddux in Maryland. I am not sure of your child's profile so I am not sure if they would be a good fit or not. |
The Gan at Adas Israel is able to provide support. Go down to inclusion on this page.

Another vote for NCRC. Amazing OT on staff and great teachers/community all around. It’s in NW DC (Cleveland Park) |
Thanks— definitely high on our list but we know it’s super competitive to get into so we are trying to broaden our options. Thanks! |
Garrison in DCPS. Full-Time OT on staff who is excellent. They have a PK3 program and a lot of IEP spots. |
Another vote for the Gan. My son doesn’t need the OT but a friend’s kid does and the Gan does. I think the Gan is easier to get into a a bit cheaper than NCRC but still $$$ |
